Estate Administration
Grandela Genealogy is proud to have a team of professionals who have qualifications from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the National Association of Licensed Paralegals (NALP), as well as Chartered Accountants.
We have the requisite expertise, qualifications and partnerships to offer the full range of estate administration services. Our Managing Director is a qualified Associate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and our paralegal and chartered accountancy qualifications underpin our broad knowledge base. We also work closely with other specialist probate professionals to ensure that we can offer our clients all the services they require.
Gathering in Estate Assets
We have years of experience in dealing with a wide range of asset holders and are familiar with the broad spectrum of requirements that they set before they are prepared to relinquish assets. We can therefore ensure that our clients can gather in estate assets as efficiently and effectively as possible, either directly, or by acting for them.
Searching for Missing Assets
We are adept a locating missing estate assets which may not have been known about, especially if they are historic in nature. We run comprehensive searches for missing estate assets to ensure that our clients do not overlook any when they are administering and distributing estates.
We can also assist clients who believe they have lost track of assets that form part of their current estate and not just in the estates of deceased persons.
Settling Debts & Liabilities
We can assist our clients in ensuring that all debts & liabilities are identified and settled before net estate values are calculated prior to distribution. We thereby provide clients with peace of mind in knowing they will not encounter unpleasant surprises after they have distributed an estate.
Distributing Funds
We can ensure that estate funds are correctly distributed to all entitled parties, which can be an onerous and complicated task in different legal jurisdictions, especially if forced heirship applies.
Our chartered accountant can receive and distribute our clients’ estate funds through a dedicated client account set up for this purpose.
